My Lululemon Staples

Those who know me know that I love to splurge on clothes (lately, activewear) and since falling in love with living a more active lifestyle, my wallet has certainly paid the price hahaha! After trying out many brands, I always find myself going back to Lululemon for the staples. 

Although my boyfriend hasn’t exactly loved giving up more and more of his side of the closet, through my love for clothes, I’ve been able to narrow it down to great staple pieces from Lululemon. So I’ve put together a little blog post of my top favs and added links (under the images) so you can shop them too. 

What are staple pieces? Staple pieces mean clothes that you can pair with various looks, for various occasions and that won’t go out of style. Some of these pieces I have had for at least 5 years and they still look & fit amazing.

Align Tights

First let’s talk about the reason we all know and love Lululemon in the first place, their tights! Although I haven’t tried ALL of their tights (see…the way my bank account and closet space are set up, I can’t do that), I have purchased a few different styles and I must say that the Align tights are the ones I always comeback to.

Like most of us, my obsession started with their classic black tights. (I’ve had a pair of black tights for 5 years, wear them all the time and they still look amazing). I now own a few different colours and recently purchased my new favourite colour –Dark Olive! These ones give me all the fall vibes. The colour is so deep and rich– yes please!

The great thing about these tights is that they conveniently come in 6 different lengths! *insert mind blown emoji* So no matter how tall you are or what length you prefer your tights to be, there is something for everyone – even the pickiest of us.

I am 5”3 and love the 28” tights. Yes they do bunch up a tiny bit at the bottom, but I personally love that. For a perfect fit, I would probably fit the 23” or 25” tights.

Belt Bag

Okay time for me to fan girl hard. I am not kidding when I say that I wore a Lululemon belt bag every single day this summer. They are literally good for ANY AND EVERY OCCASION. Since they are now trendy, you can dress it up, dress it down and guess what? Your hands are always free!

Shopping? No problem, you have two hands. Dog park? Treats, poopy bags are secure and you can still play with your dog. Night out with your friends? Never worry about losing your phone or wallet if they are in a bag that is wrapped around your body! Not to mention the fact that it now comes in SO MANY colours… I keep having to stop myself from buying more….

Honestly, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go back to normal purses….

Scuba Zip Hoodie

Another one of Lululemon’s staple pieces that can be recognized virtually anywhere – their OG Scuba Zip Hoodie.

Who else remembers that classic Lululemon hoodie, black tights and Uggs combo? Add one of the OG Lulu headbands in there and welcome back to 2010! But that look never truly died (minus the headbands….).

This hoodie is both warm and comfortable. It’s also form-fitting, making it pretty flattering! If you don’t like the form-fitting look, they also have the Scuba Oversized Full Zip and the Scuba Oversized ½ Zip Hoodie. I personally love the shade: Heathered Core Ultra Light Grey.

Sleet Street Vest

If you live somewhere where you have a proper winter (and by proper, I mean cold enough to see your breath and snow on the ground) you need a solid waterproof vest. I purchased the Sleet Street Vest last winter and pretty much got rid of all other vests I own. This vest is very warm, has a hood and the pockets have zippers (a MUST for me!).

For the quality and fit, I would say the price is competitive with most other quality brands. I love that this vest is a little longer and covers the bum. This makes a big difference in keeping me warm during the winter.

I also love that it is slim fit! I don’t feel like I’m drowning in puff hahaha. With how bulky some cold-weather gear can be, I love that this is sleek and form fitting.

Align Top

I would 100% say I’m picky my workout tights, but when it comes to workout tops, I’m not picky at all. However, this top is perfect! It’s meant for yoga, but I love it for any kind of workouts and even as a staple atheleisure piece. Paired with some tights and a bomber jacket – adorable!  

The Align tops do come with a built-in bra and are between a crop top & regular top. For someone who has smaller girls (tatas) this top is great!

Sizing was the only issue I had with this particular top. If you have broad shoulders like I do, I would recommend sizing up a few sizes! I fit a size 6 for a tight fit and an 8 for a looser fit.
